Description: This work serves as a stylistic “counter-forgery” to Vincent van Gogh’s 1886 anatomical study. While the original Paris-period work was a singular, earth-toned study on cardboard, Horses expands that kinetic energy into a dual-subject composition. The forgery reveals itself through the palette; the muted ochres and similar painting style of Vincent van Gough.

Touch Tank Exhibition, “Beneath the Storm”
Oil on Textured 36 x 48 Stretched Canvas $1200
This painting, titled “Beneath the Storm,” is a dynamic and textured oil on canvas. It depicts a fleet of sailboats navigating a choppy, dark blue sea under a tumultuous, stormy sky. The thick impasto style like techniques create the highly tactile surface, particularly noticeable in the white foam of the waves and the dark, swirling clouds. The sails of the boats are a rich, earthy brown, contrasting with the cool blues and grays of the water and sky. The overall impression is one of movement, struggle, and the raw power of nature.
