Feeding The Shadow, 2026
Oil on 20 x 24 Gallery Wrapped Canvas

“Feeding the Shadow” displays tension between two figures. The physical act of one person holding or feeding the other, and the deeper, darker implication of what the shadow represents. The painting explores the depths of human longing, whether it’s addiction, a secret side of oneself, or a hunger that can’t quite be satisfied. The painting displays an intimate narrative, one dominant figure looking down, the other receptive embracing upward.  The contrast between the dark, shadowy background and the warm rendered skin tones creates a sense of suspended time.  In the haze of a long night, intimacy and self-destruction become indistinguishable. “Feeding the Shadow” explores the thin line between care and complicity, capturing a moment where the body is present, but the spirit is being consumed by the very thing it craves.
